About
I'm Dawit Worku — a full-stack product engineer. I build and ship production software for the web, and this blog is where I write down what that work teaches: the engineering decisions that hold up, the performance work that actually moves numbers, and the design details that make software feel considered.
What this blog covers
Three topics, deliberately few:
- Engineering — architecture, tooling, and the craft of building things that last.
- Performance — making the web fast for the people who actually use it, on the devices they actually have.
- Design — typography, interfaces, and the discipline of removing things.
Why it exists
Most of what I know, I learned from people who wrote in public. This is me paying that forward — and thinking more clearly by being forced to finish sentences.
Every article states a position. When I change my mind, I update the article and say so — update dates are shown on every piece.
